Welcome to the Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on Days of our Lives

So, um, it was a three-hankie episode of Days of our Lives today, and we are still recovering from that emotional tour de force journey we never expected. We knew John Black's life would come to an end last fall when beloved actor Drake Hogestyn tragically passed away from pancreatic cancer the day before his 71st birthday. However, that didn't make it any easier to see the character he had played since 1986 take his last labored breath as Marlena lay on his chest and sobbed. The man she had loved for so long was gone. A musical montage played as we watched Jarlena's love story flash before our eyes. Then, we re-lived another classic love story in another hospital as Hope begged Bo to open his eyes, and Bo met up with their late son, Zack, in a heavenly version of The Brady Pub. Bo was desperate to get back to Hope, but also ready to give up. However, at the very last minute, he opened his eyes and uttered "Fancy Face" to an ecstatic Hope Brady, as Hope Campbell sat blubbering at her desk. DAYS treated us to a Bope montage as well, where we saw Bo and Hope's first kiss on July 4, 1983, as well as the first time they made love at the Oak Alley plantation in New Orleans, and when they wed in a London cathedral. If DAYS wanted us to buy stock in Kleenex, it succeeded with the June 2, 2025, episode.
