Heather Dubrow Defends Friendship With ‘Evolved’ Alexis Bellino

Alexis Bellino’s return to Real Housewives of Orange County has gone anything but smoothly. When Alexis had her first run on RHOC, she and Heather Dubrow famously didn’t get along. Alexis now has several friends, including Heather, who continue to invite her to events despite tension with Shannon Beador. It’s funny to look back and think of the early days when Heather made it loud and clear that she couldn’t stand Alexis. Apparently, Heather understands it’s been a shift.

Heather recently chatted with Bravo’s The Daily Dish to explain how she developed a close friendship with Alexis. She doesn’t shy away from the fact that when they met, they were not friends. Like, at all. “But time passes and to be honest, we reconnected because our kids were in the theater program together,” Heather continued. Apparently, they developed a dynamic like “sorority sisters” in the green room backstage of their kids’ performances.

Additionally, Heather and Alexis bond over nothing having kids that identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. Both Real Housewives stars have been public supporters of all of their children, including both having transgender sons. “I just think she’s a really strong person. She’s evolved, and I see it and I respect it,” Heather continued. It’s safe to say that this relationship has done a literal 180.

Real Housewives of Orange County continues on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
