Heather Dubrow Looks Dramatically Different with Short Blonde Hair

Since Heather Dubrow joined The Real Housewives of Orange County for Season 7 in 2012, we've mainly seen the California beauty sport medium-long brunette hair. For a brief moment in time, however, Heather tried out a brighter blonde look.

As Heather documented in April 2020, she was inspired to try a new hairstyle when all of her family members made dramatic hair changes. While Nick was "dying his hair black," Max was "bleaching her hair," Kat and Ace both "cut their hair," and Terry "cut his own hair," Heather decided to try a bold new look of her own — in a digital way.

In an Instagram Story, Heather posted a side-by-side image of herself in a "before and after"-like image. In one snapshot Heather showed off her traditional brunette hue, aka her signature look. In the other photo, we saw Heather rocking an all-over platinum blonde color.

"Should I go blonde????" she asked.

While Heather tried out the look in a virtual sense, we'd love to see what she might look like with a platinum color. If she's not ready to go for a bright blonde, we'd be interested in seeing Heather try out a few honey blonde or light chestnut highlights, in the style of The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Dolores Catania or Teresa Giudice.

In addition to Heather trying out a blonde look, in the past, she's rocked a much shorter 'do.

In old photos from Heather's younger years, the actress stunned in a much shorter hairstyle, with her hair barely grazing her collarbone. The style had a feathery texture, with teased bangs framing her face for a voluminous look.

This isn't the first time Heather has embraced an '80s vibe. In 2020, she shared throwback snapshots on Instagram, reminiscing about the decade. "OH the 80’s …" she wrote, calling it "a fun walk down memory lane." Some of the photos featured her pageant days, including when she won Miss Syracuse, showcasing her signature voluminous hair.

During a recent Instagram Q&A session, the California mom responded to questions from her followers and spoke about her favorite shampoo and conditioner. "Obsessed," Heather wrote back over a photo of "The Foundation" shampoo and conditioner set from RŌZ, totaling $81.

"[It's] expensive but worth it!" Heather exclaimed about the hair care products.
