During a recent Instagram Q&A session, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member asked her followers about gua sha. The routine, according to WebMd, is an ancient East Asian technique that "uses a small, smooth-edged tool to firmly stroke your skin in one direction" and is said to "improve blood flow and reduce inflammation."

In her Q&A session, Heather asked her followers if she was doing the technique "correctly." In response, many users advised her to not do gua sha if she has had Botox or dermal fillers.

"Definitely have Botox," Heather clarified, going on to note she hasn't gotten any "filler."

Following those clarifications, Heather then responded to a user who asked if she has ever had a face lift.

"Haven't had one...yet," she revealed.

Details on Heather Dubrow's potenza skin treatment

In addition to gua sha, Botox, and dermal filler, Heather has done another skin treatment in the past: potenza.

In a December 2023 Instagram Story, Heather shared an up-close look at herself in a black turtleneck with a bare, dewy face. "I have now completely washed my face," she declared before going into details about her skin post-treatment. "And this is day one ... But look, we hit a little blood vessel here." While speaking, Heather pointed to some bruising under one of her eyes as a side effect of the procedure.

"That'll get fixed. Anyway, look how good the skin looks — or will look," the mom of four continued, noting she would keep her followers updated on progress.

What is Potenza?

After Heather revealed she got the treatment, she and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, described what it was. In the clip, Heather appeared to be leaving the clinic following the treatement with her face slightly reddend. "I just had a Potenza," she said. "What does it do?"

In the background of the video, Terry could be heard explaining what it does. "It delivers micro-needling," he shared.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, microneedling is a "minimally invasive procedure using thin needles" that "can help reduce the appearance of skin concerns such as acne scars, stretch marks or wrinkles. Most people get microneedling for cosmetic purposes, but it can also help with some medical conditions."
