Heroines Gone Haywire: How to Fix GH’s Lulu, Willow and Kristina

Here are some ways to fix Lulu, Willow and Kristina, heroines who have gone haywire on General Hospital.

General Hospital Willow, Kristina, and Lulu.

Willow, Kristina, and Lulu are headed to the point of no return.

A trio of heroines have gone haywire on General Hospital; acting unethically, doing things that are drastically out of character, and behaving really badly. With each passing week, Lulu, Willow and Kristina have become increasingly unlikable.

Before they each reach the point of no return, here are a few ways to fix them and get them back to the appealing young women viewers once knew and loved.

Losing Lulu

Remember when Lulu (Alexa Havins) used to be the one to root for in her feud with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton)? Well, those days are long gone.

Since Havens was cast in the popular role, the character has been written as a sanctimonious busybody, meddling in Brook Lynn’s past, exposing the long-kept secret of Gio’s (Giovanni Mazza) paternity, and upending everyone’s life.

Enough already. Apologizing to Gio was a good first step, but Lulu has a lot more work to do. She needs to admit the error of her ways and make serious amends with Brook Lynn.

Then, to really help her get back in viewers’ good graces, she should devote her time to helping Gio accept Brook Lynn as his mother and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) as his father, uniting the new family she was instrumental in bringing together.

Willow Who?

For years, Willow (Kateyln MacMullen) was one of the kindest, sweetest women in Port Charles. She was devoted to Michael (Rory Gibson) and their two children.

That is, until she succumbed to her passion for Drew (Cameron Mathison) and lost all hold of her senses. Suddenly, she moved off the Quartermaine estate with young Wylie and Amelia in tow and was suing Michael for custody.

Since breaking down at the courthouse and being taken to the hospital, after the judge awarded Michael full custody of their kids, Willow’s been despondent and broken. Signs of her kinder and gentler self have emerged as she’s realized she’s lost the family she once cherished.

Now Willow needs to wake up, see Drew for the calculating scoundrel he is, and cut off all ties with him. The cherry on top would be helping Curtis (Donnell Turner) bring him down, a move that would most certainly help Willow gain favor with GH fans.

Kristina Gone Wild

Kristina (Kate Mansi) had always been a bit of a wild child, the absolute opposite of her grounded younger sister Molly (Kristen Vaganos). But over the past two years, she’s gone from quirky and fun to downright insufferable.

After blaming Ava (Maura West) for her miscarriage, she tried to kill her, only to cut the brakes on the wrong car, causing Elizabeth and Ric’s (Rick Hearst) auto accident. Now she’s paying Cody (Josh Kelly) to seduce Ava and break her bond with Ric.

How do you solve a problem like the spiraling Kristina? Therapy would be a good first step. Quite honestly, Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) original idea to have her daughter committed was a good one.

Kristina needs serious help to let go of her obsession with Ava and her need for revenge. Then and only then will she be able to move on with her own life and get back to her old, endearing self.
