“He’s Taking Everything Like a Champ”: DWTS Star Rylee Arnold Gushes Over Boyfriend Walker Lyons’ Sweet Support in the Spotlight

Rylee Arnold is dishing on how her new beau is handling the spotlight.

The Dancing with the Stars pro, 19, opened up about boyfriend Walker Lyons’ reaction to the attention he has been receiving after the pair publicly launched their relationship in October.

Gushing over the college football player, Arnold said she is proud of how he has navigated the change.

“He's being such a trooper because I know it's so hard to go from not being exposed to things like this, but he's just been such a trooper,” Arnold shared after the Nov. 12 taping of DWTS. “He's so supportive of me and just so kind to me all the time. And it's so nice and refreshing to be around and I just think he's the best and he’s taking everything like a champ.”

Arnold and her DWTS partner, Stephen Nedoroscik, went on a double date on Nov. 9 with their significant others to attend the Wicked premiere. In a sweet group photo posted to Instagram, Arnold, Lyons, Nedoroscik and his girlfriend Tess McCracken smiled as they all dressed to the nines. 

“It was so fun,” Nedoroscik said.

“Me, Stephen, Tess and Walker go really well together,” Arnold added. “We had such a good time and, honestly, one of my favorite date nights.”

“It was really fun — Walker's hilarious,” the Olympic medalist noted, saying he “absolutely” approves of Arnold and Lyons’ relationship.

This comes just two weeks after Arnold and Nedoroscik told PEOPLE they hadn’t had a double date yet at the DWTS Halloween show on Oct. 29. “We have not had a double date yet, but that has to happen,” she admitted.

“It’s going to happen,” Nedoroscik said. “It’s got to happen.”

“That would be a party,” Arnold then joked.

Arnold revealed she was dating the University of Southern California tight end in an Oct. 27 Instagram post, which featured several sweet snaps of the couple hugging after Lyons’ game.

“Is this a hard launch?? 🤭❤️‍🔥” she captioned it.

Taylor Lautner jokingly commented, "Definitely ain’t a soft launch,” while The Bachelor’s Kelsey Anderson simply wrote, “❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
