After nearly a decade away from the public eye, Adam Lind, the father of Chelsea Houska’s eldest daughter, Aubree, has resurfaced in South Dakota. The former “Teen Mom 2” star, now 35, has largely stayed out of the spotlight since exiting reality television in 2017.
A Quiet Life
Exclusive photos obtained by The U.S. Sun show Lind living a quieter life in Sioux Falls. On May 29, he was spotted outside his $112,000 home—purchased during his time on “Teen Mom 2”—wearing a hoodie, jeans and sunglasses while blowing leaves and checking his mail. An eyewitness told The U.S. Sun, “He seemed to be in good spirits. He was playful with the dog and even blew the leaf blower at the dog jokingly.”
The following day, Lind was seen driving a black Corvette to a local construction site. He appeared to work as a foreman, walking the site, inspecting equipment, and interacting with employees.
“He went to a work site. He was smiling, having jokes with the workers,” the eyewitness said. “He walked around and checked the equipment out. He looked like the foreman of the site. He stayed for about twenty minutes before continuing with his day.”
Co-Parenting With Chelsea and Life With Aubree Today
Despite past legal issues—including a September 2024 arrest for domestic violence—Lind has managed to remain out of further legal trouble and maintain a presence in his daughter Aubree’s life.
Chelsea Houska, who now stars on HGTV’s “Down Home Fab” with husband Cole DeBoer, provided an update on their co-parenting relationship in 2023. “There’s no bad vibes and it’s just a very open relationship,” she told Us Weekly. “There’s no bad feelings. We see him sometimes and it’s totally fine.”
She added that Aubree, now 15, takes the lead in coordinating visits. “I think it helps that Aubree is a teenager now and there isn’t really a lot of having to work things out [for them],” Houska said. “It really is fine.”
Lind was last publicly seen in a July 2023 family photo alongside Aubree during a Fourth of July celebration.
Lind also shares another daughter, Paislee, with ex Taylor Halbur, but relinquished his parental rights in 2018. “He hasn’t reached out at all,” Halbur told The U.S. Sun in 2020. “I honestly could not tell you where he’s at. I haven’t heard a single thing about him. He’s a ghost.”
Paislee was adopted by Halbur’s husband, Joe Leonard, in 2017 when they were married, as noted by Radar Online.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Cole DeBoer have continued to grow their family and career. The couple now have three children together—Watson, Layne, and Walker—and enjoy a slower-paced life on their South Dakota farm.
