Cynthia reflected on the experience in an Instagram post, writing, "I do a lot of podcast[s] but this one hit very differently because it was with my ex-husband [Peter Thomas]. Whew!"

Though Cynthia and Peter's romantic relationship didn't work out, the model is grateful for the time that she shared with the Bar One owner.

"We went through so much together on [and] off camera as a married couple navigating a new marriage, me moving from NYC to Atlanta with my then-8-year-old daughter to start a new life, joining the reality show The Real Housewives of Atlanta, opening up businesses together, financial woes, real life struggles business [and] personal, [and] lastly ultimately going [through] a divorce after being married for [eight] years," she continued. "It was so interesting [and] (a little scary for me lol) to sit down with Peter after so many years [and] so many different feelings and emotions, good and bad."

Cynthia didn't spend a lot of time with Peter after they separated in 2016, but she said that she "always prayed, wished him well, and rooted for him from afar."

As a result, she said, "When he called me to ask me to do his podcast everything inside of me knew that I had to do it. I needed to do it, and I knew he needed me to do it. It was time to come together in peace, love, light, respect and have real 'grown folk' conversation in the spirit of closure, moving on, peace and most importantly healing. I AM SO GLAD THAT I SAT DOWN WITH PETER FOR HIS PODCAST..."

"I left the podcast feeling happy, lighter, and at peace. And to be honest, we actually had a lot of fun and laughed the entire time. I encourage all of you to check out the entire interview. It is so inspirational and motivational. I posted a few clips, but I promise you the interview is so much deeper...."  she said before congratulating her ex on his podcast venture.

She then addressed Peter directly.  "Thank you always for respect, grace, and love," she concluded in her post.

Peter reacted to Cynthia's emotional post in the comments section. "Keep playing CHESS, your checkers days are long over," Peter wrote. "Proud of you."
