How much the Bears are spending on each position in 2024

Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles has continued retooling the roster in his third offseason, which included the additions of some impact veterans in free agency and the NFL draft.

Currently, the Bears have $21.67 million in available cap space, which is the 14th most in the NFL. They still have two unsigned rookies in quarterback Caleb Williams and receiver Rome Odunze, which will impact that number. But Chicago could certainly make some additional moves this summer, including at edge rusher.

The Bears have allocated roughly the same amount to the offense ($123.08 million) compared to defense ($123.76 million). When you break it down, Chicago is spending among the most cap space at defensive line, wide receiver and secondary.

Let’s take a look at how the salary cap breaks down for the Bears in 2024, by position, according to Spotrac.
