It turns out Sophia Bush could have been on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills if she had only gotten the text message from RHOBH star Bozoma Saint John. Boz thinks that Sophia would be a great fit for the franchise and is still pushing for her to be on the show.
RHOBH Season 15 has already begun filming with Rachel Zoe joining the cast. Rachel is a great fit and brings a fun fashion flair to the mix. But if Boz had her way, Sophia would be added to the roster as well.
Would Sophia Bush be a good fit for RHOBH?
“Sohpia would make a great housewife, right?” Boz told E! News. “It totally makes sense. I wrote her a text message in April and I was like, ‘Hey, I need to ask you a controversial question.’”
Boz added that Sophia absolutely “knew what I was going to ask her” and “never responded.” Then on July 18 she finally said, “Oh, how did I miss this text message in April?”
For her part, Sophia explained that she is a “terrible texter.”
“So I go to text her and I’m like, ‘I’m so excited to see you tomorrow. I can’t wait.’ And then I go, ‘Controversial question? April?’” Boz related.
Sophia laughed and asked, “Girl, what’s the controversial question? I love a controversial question. And she’s like, ‘I was trying to get you on the show.’”
Despite Sophia not being able to answer, Boz doubled down on her opinion that she would be a great fit for RHOBH. “We need women who are self-possessed, who enjoy their relationships with other women, who understand conflict and drama,” Boz explained. She also commented on social media, “You would make THE BEST HOUSEWIFE!”
Sophia was initially hesitant about reality TV, but after watching Boz on the show she thought her friend was “changing the vibe of the industry and modeling a healthier way of being famous on reality TV.”
So maybe there’s still a chance to see the former One Tree Hill star on RHOBH. With Garcelle Beauvais’ departure, there is still space for the cast to expand. Perhaps not for Season 15, but maybe the next?
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills streaming on Peacock and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
