How Utаһ HC Mаtсһes Uр Wіtһ Tһe Pһіlаdelрһіа Flyers

A few days ago, we introduced the Presidents' Trophy-holding New York Rangers and their rivals, the New Jersey Devils, to Utah fans.

Now, we can move up the New Jersey Turnpike to a team those two call another of their biggest rivals, the Philadelphia Flyers.

Under head coach John Tortorella, the Flyers have embraced the gritty, grind-you-down style that Torts is known for and has made him successful with the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Rangers, and the Columbus Blue Jackets.

They can score, too; Travis Konecny has continued to be a force on offence, scoring 33 goals and tallying 68 points last season, with Owen Tippett and Joel Farabee right behind him.

This is also a very young team; the oldest player on the roster is defenceman Erik Johnson at 36, while the youngest is forward Jett Luchanko, just signed to an entry-level deal at only 18 years old.

Don't let the youth of Philadelphia fool you, however; they have plenty of potential in their tank, with the likes of Luchanko, defenceman Jamie Drysdale, and Farabee, who are all still yet to hit their prime.

They're in the same situation as Utah, which is a young team that is learning how to win and take that next step.

Although Philadelphia is still quite early in their rebuild, they could still shock some teams this season, and Utah will have to be on their toes to make sure they aren't next.
