Rylee Arnold is dealing with a new medical condition—and it's not one she expected to have at such a young age.
The Dancing with the Stars pro, who just turned 20 earlier this month, revealed in a new TikTok video that she has been diagnosed with shingles, a virus that many people associate with affecting older populations.
But as Arnold noted in her new post on Wednesday, June 25, it "turns out you can get shingles as a 20 year old."
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the risk of developing shingles "increases as you get older or if you have a weakened immune system." It is characterized by a "painful, usually itchy rash that develops on one side of the face or body."
Arnold didn't share any further details about her diagnosis, though she did appear to be scratching the back of her head in the beginning of her TikTok clip.
In her caption, the professional dancer told her followers, "any tips or recommendations are heavily needed right now."
Fortunately, Arnold wasn't alone, as several users in the comments said they also experienced shingles at a young age.
"I'm so sorry you're dealing with this! Stay hydrated, rest up, and try to keep your stress levels low," one user commented.
