I understand I'm probably a little biased when it comes to the Louisiana-native, but I think Stassi's appearance on Vanderpump Villa season 2 helped seal the gaps the show was suffering from. While I enjoyed Vanderpump Villa season 1 for its messy display of luxury drama, there was something I was missing in the payoff. Yes, the drama was there and the employees doing their best at Lisa Vanderpump's villa were fun, but there was a huge gap between the employees and Lisa that Stassi helped to fill. Her personal drama, however, was the icing on the cake this season.
While she may not be proud of her fight with Beau, Stassi revealed that sharing their reality was more important to her than looking perfect.
Stassi's Worked On Herself Since Vanderpump Rules
She's Been Open About Her Mistakes
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
Though she's been off reality TV for the last several years, Stassi's been open on her podcast about how she's learned and grown from her experiences on Vanderpump Rules, especially in the way she's treated others. Often calling her penchant for poor behavior her "dark passenger" taking control, Stassi has made it clear that she lives her life a lot differently than she did in her younger years. With a husband and two kids, Stassi's grown up and worked hard to change, but her old patterns haven't always been completely eradicated yet, as she showed during Vanderpump Villa season 2.
Stassi's "Dark Passenger" Came Out In Full Force On Vanderpump Villa
She Had A Tough Time With Her Husband's Devotion To His Sister
Throughout Vanderpump Villa season 2, Stassi and her husband were featured as supporting cast on the series. Though Stassi's marriage hasn't been a huge part of her reality TV persona, Beau was featured in episodes of Vanderpump Rules during the later seasons she was a part of, so there was familiarity with the couple coming into the series. During an evening celebrating Stassi's birthday with Beau, Beau's half-sister Georgia Bardetti, and other guests, tensions came to a head when, after some drinks, Stassi brought up the way she felt about Beau having his sister's name tattooed on his arm.
Stassi Was Right To Voice Her Insecurities To Beau
She Just Didn't Go About It The Right Way
While Stassi's meltdown is getting a bit of criticism online, it's clear that she needed to speak up about something that was bothering her when it came to Beau's relationship with his sister. Stassi, who's known for epic meltdowns on her birthday, may have gone about expressing her insecurities to Beau in the wrong way by framing it as an us vs. them conflict between herself and his family, but she had obviously been feeling some deep-rooted insecurity in the way Beau had been acting for some time. Expressing herself, even in a somewhat over-emotional way, was the right move.
Stassi's Defending Herself In The Show's Aftermath
She's Not Backing Down From Her Sentiments
Although Stassi has shared that things are fine with Beau, she's chosen to stand by her actions on the show. According to an interview with Stylecaster, Stassi shared that while she doesn't actually want Beau to get a tattoo of her name, "it’s about what it represents." The reality TV veteran made it clear that she was going to be completely herself in front of the cameras on Vanderpump Villa, in good moments and bad. While she may not be proud of her fight with Beau, Stassi revealed that sharing their reality was more important to her than looking perfect.
