There is no doubt the biggest reason the Cincinnati Bengals’ four straight wins has been their standout offense. When quarterback Joe Burrow connecting with arguably the best receiving tandem in the league, it elevated him into MVP considerations.
He has received glaring reviews from opponents, most notably Micah Parsons , who suggested that Burrow is the best quarterback in the league. That notion has also been agreed upon by ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky who has batted for him all season long.
But the reality is that Burrow’s Bengals have their season on the line as they head towards Week 18. A situation that came about after they could not win games against playoff contenders this season. When the superstar quarterback was asked at a press conference about winning the MVP, he replied.
I wanna win one day.

Another reporter followed up by asking if he thought about his chances of winning it this year, to which Joe Burrow replied.
I doubt it. Usually, you gotta win your division. It is what it is. That’s how it’s voted. I don’t necessarily disagree with it, I would say.

The 28-year-old was honest when clarifying that MVP voters look at the impact the player has had in the team’s final standings. His belief is that even if they manage to get into the playoffs, he might not win it. But he wants to see his name etched on the award sometime in the future.
Joe Burrow frontrunner for another award for the second time in career
Joe Burrow might not be optimistic about his chances in the MVP race. But he is the front runner for another award which he has won once before. After questions about his MVP chances, a reporter asked the Cincinnati Bengals superstar what it would mean to win the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award.
Yeah, that one I’ll be proud of. Not exactly an award you wanna be up for, but if you’re up for it, you might as well try and win it.
Joe Burrow said
He has already won the award in 2021. If he were to win it this season, he will join Chad Pennington as the only players in NFL history to have won the award twice. He did acknowledge that it would be an honor to win it, but also suggested it was not something he had in his mind.
Injuries forced Jow Burrow to play only 10 games last season. This season, he has thrown his career best yards which could net him the Comeback Player of the Year. Had he been in the MVP race, that could have made it two awards for the QB.
