In her new interview with PEOPLE, Giudice explained that her response to Frankel was just defending her family. “I was sticking up for my family, and you can love me or hate me for it, but I will do that all day, every day,” she told the outlet. “And I'm honestly just over talking about it. There'll be a new thing next week, and I think she should just leave it at that too. I have three younger sisters who I'm trying to protect as well, and they don't need to see all of this in the public eye either."
Giudice went on to say that she understands it is what the family signed up for when they joined The Real Housewives of New Jersey but that she doesn't have to just take it. "I get it, it's what we signed up for, but if people could refrain from saying things, that's all I was saying," she said. "Just treat people the way you would want to be treated. There was no need.”
Gia Giudice Thinks Bethenny Frankel's Response Was Trying to Gaslight Her

Giudice went on to talk specifically about Frankel saying that she was giving financial advice to her mother and said she believed that Frankel was "honestly trying to gaslight" her. “I didn't say half of the things that she made in her statement. I was never recommending financial advice or anything along those lines.” She went on to give thanks to those who have defended her family but she is not a fan of Frankel.
