The highlight of the schedule is the AHL All-Star Game, which will be hosted by the Rockford IceHogs at BMO Center on Wednesday, February 11th. One night prior will be the AHL Skills Competition.
This is the first time that the IceHogs will host the event. The top performers of the AHL will all be in Rockford, where the IceHogs will be for most of their games in February.
60 of the 72 games played in 2025-26 will be against division rivals. For the other 12 games played, they will face teams that they didn't match up against in 2024-25.
One of them is the legendary Hershey Bears of the Washington Capitals organization, whom Rockford hasn't played since 2019. The other two are against the San Diego Gulls (Anaheim Ducks) and the Colorado Eagles (Colorado Avalanche). This will be the first time that the Hogs and Eagles have ever played against each other.
Weekends are a big highlight for the IceHogs in 2025-26. They will play 30 of their 36 home games on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. They play a game every Saturday during the regular season, with 14 of them coming in Rockford.
The regular season will open for the IceHogs on Saturday, October 11th, against the Milwaukee Admirals at home. It will conclude (on the road) on Saturday, April 18th, against the Texas Stars.
