If Kyle Pitts Does Not Get Traded, He Will Need A Pro Bowl Level Season

The Atlanta Falcons have been rumored since the middle of the season to trade the highest-drafted tight end in NFL history, but it has yet to happen. In four seasons Kyle Pitts has 196 total receptions for 2,651 yards and 10 touchdowns.

In 2024, Pitts had 47 receptions for 602 yards and 4 touchdowns. The touchdown number is his career high, but the others are career lows for a season in that he appeared in all 17 games.

As we head towards the draft, more and more rumors are coming out about Pitts being traded and potentially being on another roster for 2025. If that does not happen though, Pitts is going to be going into the season with higher expectations than he could possibly imagine.

2024 Player Outlook: Kyle Pitts - The Falcoholic

If he wants to stay with the Falcons for a few more years, this is the season to go for 1,000 yards and at least 8 touchdowns. This could be possible with Michael Penix Jr. behind center, as he could potentially utilize Pitts differently than Matt Ryan, Desmond Ridder and Kirk Cousins did throwing to him.

Pitts has the potential to become one of the best tight ends in the league, but he has to let the mental games not win against him. From dropping passes and not getting open, many things have been preventing him from reaching his ceiling. If Pitts stays a Falcon in 2025, he will need to be a pro bowler.

Pitts has shown in his career that he is capable of that, but he also cannot peak as a rookie as we have seen multiple players do in their careers. More news on Pitts will continue to come out as the draft comes and offseason continues.
