The Indianapolis Colts enter the offseason with $34.7 million in cap space and plenty of team needs. Highlighting one of Indianapolis’s defensive needs is a reliable run-stopper after a rough year against opposing running backs. The Colts run defense struggled to stop the run, allowing the second-most carries, the ninth-most rushing yards, and tying for the eleventh-most rushing touchdowns.
Since their run defense struggled last season, a few interior defensive linemen could be on the chopping block, including their free agent acquisition from last offseason.
The Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle had a rough inaugural season

Raekwon Davis had a rough inaugural season in Indianapolis, failing to carve out a consistent role on defense, playing a career-low 30% of snaps. Davis also did not live up to the expectations as a reliable run-stopper and did not offer much in the passing game, with a career-low five stops and four pressures. He registered 15 tackles and one TFL in 17 games.
Davis enters the final year of his 2-year, $14 million contract. He is scheduled to earn a $4.98 million base salary along with an $8.96 million cap hit in 2025.
