Rookie minicamp has finally arrived for the Indianapolis Colts, and all eight 2025 NFL Draft selections, along with undrafted players signed/invited to the rookie minicamp, are set to take the field to rep the horseshoe for the first time.
Before they do, though, they will need a number on the back of their jersey, and the Colts announced those today.
Colts 2025 NFL Draft class jersey numbers
Tyler Warren: 84

Tyler Warren is set to wear 84 to begin his NFL career with the Colts. Though we've seen rookies change their numbers after roster cuts in the past, I feel pretty good that 84 is here to stay for Warren. The team had Albert Okwuegbunam change from 84 to 83 to make this happen, which makes me think it's a number Warren wanted and plans on keeping.
Notable Colts players to wear 84:
- Jack Doyle, TE (2013-2021)
- Jacob Tamme (2008-2011)
JT Tuimoloau: 91

JT Tuimoloau will wear 91 with the Colts to start his NFL Career. With him wearing 44 at Ohio State, I really thought we'd see him land with a number in the 50s, but the Colts have had some awesome edge rushers in their history, rocking a number in the 90s. Maybe one day Laiatu Latu and JT Tuimoloau will become the next great duo to both wear a number in the 90s for the franchise.
Notable Colts players to wear 91:
- Yannick Ngakoue, DE (2022)
- Jonathan Newsome, DE (2014-2015)
- Josh Thomas, DE (2004-2009)
Justin Walley: 27

Justin Walley wore five at Minnesota, but obviously, QB Anthony Richardson currently wears that for the Colts. So we know he'd have to choose a new number, and he landed on 27, which works perfectly for a CB. The most recent notable CB to wear 27 for the Colts was Xavier Rhodes, who had a strong two seasons with the team.
Notable Colts players to wear 27:
- Xavier Rhodes, CB (2020-2021)
- Jacob Lacey, CB (2009-2011)
- Keith Taylor, CB (1988-1991)
Jalen Travis: 75

Colts fourth-round pick Jalen Travis ends up getting 75 as his first number with the team. The team has had multiple high-performing offensive linemen rock that number. Most recently, starting RG Will Fries wore 75 before signing with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason.
Notable Colts players to wear 75:
- Will Fries, G (2021-2024)
- Jack Mewhort, G (2014-2017)
- Larry Tripplett, DT (2002-2005)
- Chris Hinton, G/T (1983-1989)
DJ Giddens: 21

DJ Giddens choosing 21 seems to be the rookie jersey number fans are the most excited about. The team has had multiple talented players in their history wear 21, including recently the team's top bench RBs Zack Moss and Nyheim Hines. And two of the franchise's top defensive backs, Bob Sanders and Vontae Davis.
Notable Colts players to wear 21:
- Zack Moss, RB (2022-2023)
- Nyheim Hines, RB (2018-2022)
- Vontae Davis, CB (2014-2017)
- Bob Sanders, S (2004-2010)
- Rick Volk, S (1967-1975)
Riley Leonard: 15

Riley Leonard could very well still end up getting his college jersey number 13 if he makes the team's roster. WR Laquon Treadwell currently wears 13, but his odds of making the 53-man roster are slim at best. So if 13 opens up, I imagine Leonard would claim it since he wore it at Duke and Notre Dame. For the time being, though,h Leonard begins his NFL career wearing 15 a number that hasn't had much luck over the years for the Colts.
Notable Colts players to wear 15:
- Joe Flacco, QB (2024)
- Parris Campbell, WR (2019-2021)
Tim Smith: 93

Tim Smith gets to start his NFL career wearing the same number as one of the team's best defensive players in franchise history, Dwight Freney. Those are some big shoes to fill, but luckily for him, the team has allowed a few reserve defensive tackles to wear 93 in recent years, with Adam Gotsis in 2024 and Eric Johnson in 2022 and 2023.
Notable Colts players to wear 93:
- Jabal Sheard, DE (2017-2019)
- Erik Walden, DE (2013-2016)
- Dwight Freeney, DE (2002-2012)
Hunter Wohler: 30

Hunter Wohler's choice of 30 is the only rookie jersey number this year that raises some eyebrows. The team announced him as an LB instead of a safety, like he played at Wisconsin. Colts GM Chris Ballard shared after the draft that he would spend time at both positions, as they view him as a hybrid of the two. To be honest, 30 for a safety is a pretty clean number at LB, though it will look a little off.
Notable Colts players to wear 30:
- George Odum, S (2018-2021)
- Rashaan Melvin, CB (2016-2017)
- La'Ron Landry, S (2013-2014)
- Doug Nettles, CB (1974-1978)
