Inside Carrie Underwood’s Final Bow: Why Leaving Las Vegas Isn’t So Easy

After more than three years of electrifying performances, Carrie Underwood’s “Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency” is coming to a close. The country superstar’s long-running residency at Resorts World Theatre, which began in December 2021, has been a landmark engagement for both Underwood and her fans. As she prepares for the final shows in April 2025, she’s sharing heartfelt reflections on what this period in her career has meant and why it’s so hard to say goodbye.

A Residency That Shaped a New Chapter

“Reflection” was more than just a series of concerts. For Underwood, it was a celebration of her two-decade career, blending her greatest hits—like “Before He Cheats” and “Blown Away”—with new material from albums such as Denim & Rhinestones (2022). Over 72 performances, she captivated nearly 300,000 fans with elaborate production elements that she couldn’t replicate on tour. “We can do something we can’t necessarily do when we’re packing up all our gear and going from place to place,” Underwood told Rolling Stone early in the residency, noting the creative freedom Las Vegas afforded her.
