Officially sharing the engagement news on May 31st, Ubah Hassan and Oliver Daschel are taking their love to the next level. Though eagle-eyed fans have swarmed message boards, clocking that she had been sharing cryptic posts on her Instagram regarding love while on holiday, while wearing a rock on her finger. All wasn't confirmed until she posted on Instagram, proving that love is real.

Originally from Germany, as fans know through the subtle hints dropped by Ubah during Season 14, she began dating the investment banker in 2022. Residing in Connecticut, Ubah kept his identity for a multitude of reasons. But when Brynn Whitfield revealed all, Ubah was forced to grapple with revealing more than the couple intended to. Nevertheless, since their time in the spotlight, Ubah has brought a new light into the world as she's shared her love for "Mr. Connecticut" every chance she gets.

They officially stepped out together in 2023 at the American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala at Lincoln Center. Ubah had revealed on the show that the couple had been speaking about taking their relationship to the next level, revealing in the Season 15 premiere her intention of starting a family with him. She knew she had won the jackpot, gushing about him ever since.

Only a few months ago, Ubah had spoken to Parade about a potential engagement timeline and her ideal wedding ring. She shared with the outlet, "I think a yellow diamond," noting the rarity and the high cost of these gems. Though we don't know the specificity of the ring as of now, we can only hope that she left enough hints that he picked out her dream ring. Nevertheless, the joy she shares in her photos proves that no matter the ring, her love for her new fiancé is genuine.

Why Obah Kept Her Love Under Wraps

As part of the reboot cast of The Real Housewives of New York City, the celebrated model began sharing her life with fans on the docuseries in 2023. For the most part, much of her storyline focused on her privacy, especially when it came to love. During the Season 14 reunion, Ubah was very clear about her intentions involving Oliver's identity. "He is very private because of his work," she said, but she was forced to expose more details than anticipated when Brynn Whitfield callously shared with the group that Ubah was off the market. Prior to that, there had been murmurs by some of the Housewives and their spouses about why Ubah was single, but she constantly played it coy, especially when Sai De Silva's husband questioned her relationship status.

After a circle of trust moment between Sai, Brynn, and Erin Lichy, Ubah's dating life tea spread like wildfire, causing Brynn's birthday party to turn into the Ubah show. Upon picking up a phone call from her boyfriend, Brynn exclaimed from across the room, "Hey Ubah, I heard you got a man in Connecticut.” This caused Ubah to whisper, "If you mention Connecticut, I’m going to circumcise you.”

Ubah was quite shaken, knowing that her secret got around, worried it would compromise her relationship with the very secretive "Mr. Connecticut." It was only the beginning of the downfall in Ubah and Brynn's relationship, which culminated in the Season 15 finale. In the end, it's all about wedding bells as we all wait to hear just when the nuptials might be. Perhaps this might be some ammunition to help Bravo make a call about Season 16!
