Ben Roethlisberger created quite a buzz when he claimed Aaron Rodgers had a hidden agenda to sign with the Minnesota Vikings. Insider Ian Rapoport said the legendary former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is right—well, sort of.
According to Rapoport, Rodgers was genuinely interested in signing with Minnesota over Pittsburgh, but it ended up being one-sided, as the Vikings quickly rebuked the four-time MVP in favor of J.J. McCarthy.

Rapoport added that while Big Ben was correct in his assessment of Rodgers' desire to go to Minnesota, the former Packers QB should know by now that waiting on the Vikings is "futile." He further stated that the four-time MVP would have to wait until at least training camp, and it's highly unlikely Rodgers would do so.
At this point, it feels almost as if the Pittsburgh Steelers have no choice but to lie in the bed they made and wait for Rodgers to realize the Vikings' 2025 starting quarterback is McCarthy—but whether that’s the right decision remains to be seen.
