“I think they’ve discussed it, at least on some level,” Friedman revealed. “What I keep hearing is as long as everyone is reasonable, it should get done.” While Tavares’s production this year has likely increased the Leafs’ comfort level in re-signing him, the final deal must strike the right balance to work for the team and the player.
