RHOA's Porsha Williams also revealed the status of the home she once shared with Simon Guobadia.
More than a year after filing for divorce from Simon Guobadia, Porsha Williams is still legally married.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member shared the latest on her split from the Nigerian businessman during an appearance on the April 27 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"I’m still in our home," she told host Andy Cohen and fellow guest Gizelle Bryant. "We're going to court very soon so I may be divorced within the next week or so."
When asked where Simon is, Porsha confirmed that she's not in touch with her ex at the moment. "I don't have any Simon news," she said.
Why are Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia getting divorced?
Porsha opened up about the "final straw" that led her to file for divorce in February 2024 when she appeared on WWHL back in March.
"It was the betrayal of what I thought we had, yeah," she said. "I really thought we were the best communicators with each other and, unfortunately, I didn't realize that he had love bombed me and was taking it back, so our relationship had kind of swapped over. And I just realized I needed more, and I think women should be able to stand up and say, 'I need more. More truth, more this, more that, and a whole lot of other things.'"
She elaborated on the cause of the split on the RHOA Season 16 premiere as well.
"For me and our relationship, I used to pride myself on us having great communication,” she said in an interview on the episode. "And, when communication started to lack, it felt intentional."
At the time, Porsha was still trying to process what happened between her and Simon, who she wed in 2022.
"My divorce from Simon, I haven’t dealt with the emotional part yet," she continued on the episode. “I’ve had to deal with logistics. It’s really weird. It feels really cold."
Porsha Williams shares an update on her dating life
The mom of one is single and ready to mingle, but she's holding off from any sort of public romance until she's legally divorced.
When asked if she would be interested in joining Love Hotel in the future, Porsha said, "I need to check in. Well, hold on — let me check out [of] my marriage and then I can check in to the Love Hotel."
