Neither one sees it coming.
Phyllis was acting even more unhinged than usual — and that’s saying something — on the April 22 episode of The Young and Restless, when she was baiting her in front of Billy, then stomping off in a self-righteous huff. It might seem like we know what’s causing her behavior, above and beyond her usual behavior, but what if there is more to it than that?
Mine Forever
Sally (Courtney Hope) is currently sleeping with Billy (Jason Thompson). Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) once slept with Billy.
Anyone who has slept with Phyllis once can never sleep with another woman again. It’s offensive to Phyllis. It’s the same reason Phyllis hates Diane (Susan Walters), this time, where Jack (Peter Bergman) is concerned.
Takes One To Know One
Phyllis is a scheming redhead who knows how to get what she wants and isn’t afraid to use men — and underhanded tactics — to do it. Sally is a scheming redhead who knows how to get what she wants and isn’t afraid to use men — and underhanded tactics — to do it.
There’s room for only one of them in Genoa City, according to Phyllis. And, oh, yeah, Sally is 20 years younger. How dare Sally be 20 years younger? And sleeping with Billy on top of that?
Secrets Spilled
And it’s that resemblance, not to mention the 20-year age difference, that’s really got us wondering: What if Sally is Phyllis’ daughter? A child Phyllis had and gave up before she came to town to trap Danny (Michael Damian) into marriage, using Daniel (Michael Graziadei — who gave fans this warning), a baby who didn’t even turn out to be biologically his?
There is no reason why Phyllis couldn’t have had a daughter other than Summer (Allison Lanier). One that she abandoned or, more likely in Phyllis’ case, sold to carnies who were just passing through town. Sally is a lot like Phyllis once was. Maybe there’s a reason for that.
