ITV Britain's Got Talent fans demand judge is given the axe following semi-final

Fans have pleaded that one judge is given the boot from Britain's Got Talent following the semi-final show. People took to social media following the episode, as they blasted the judge was "doing their head in."

The live semi-final, which took place over the weekend, saw viewers hit out at Strictly Come Dancing star Bruno Tonioli, who was subject to a chorus of boos from the audience. Bruno marked his third season as a judge on the ITV talent show this year.

However fans appear to be rattled by him, as they fumed he has been making the show "all about him" with his extroverted dramatics, which are often taking up plenty camera time.

Viewers who took to social media are labelling him 'insufferable' and 'annoying', suggesting that KSI, who has appeared on the show as a judge previously, should replace Bruno, 69, full-time.

The 31-year-old YouTube star has appeared as a guest judge several times across season 18, filling in absences for other judges where necessary, as reported by the MailOnline.

He was signed to the show in a bid to attract younger viewers, but seems to have become a fan favourite following his on-screen debut, with many wanting him to stay.

Taking to Twitter, one user said, "Was hoping Simon would have fired Bruno and brought in KSI for the remaining live shows," as another echoed, "Anyone want Bruno replaced with KSI permanently or is it just me? Bloke does my absolute head in."

Would rather be seeing KSI on the judging panel every week over Bruno," quipped a third. A fourth added, "Has anyone else stopped watching BGT because of Bruno Tonioli? The man is annoying."

Someone else fumed, "Sit down, Bruno stop making it about you," as another wrote, "Someone tell Bruno to stop playing it up to the cameras every single time an act is on and they mention him."

Another fan chimed, "Bruno is the worst judge ever, the new format with the golden buzzer is woeful and the talent is average at best. That's a couple of hours of my life I can't get back."

As we reported previously, hosts Ant and Dec were forced to step in and address the audience following the jeering from the crowd.

It was so loud that it drowned out Dec's voice once they joined ballroom legend Bruno Tonioli. Pausing himself mid-sentence, Dec addressed the room, saying: "Thank you. Thank you. Bruno is here, we know."

Criticism of Bruno comes after allegations of yet another 'fix' row from fans, with the new golden buzzer rule allowing it to be pressed in the live semi-final.

The live semi-final saw child guitarist Olly Pearson through to the final with Simon Cowell's golden buzzer. Singer Stacey Leadbetter will join him after receiving the highest count of votes from the public.

Britain's Got Talent: Live Semi-Final returns next Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
