ITV has reportedly axed a Strictly Come Dancing star's chat show
The Chris McCausland Show is allegedly set to be dropped after just one series.
Fronted by the Liverpudlian comedian who triumphed in the most recent series of BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, the show featured some big British stars since its inception in June 2024.
It has now been removed from ITV's Saturday morning slot at 8.30am. The show featured Chris McCausland engaging with a host of well-known personalities.
Those who appeared include Celebrity Big Brother's Donna Preston, chart-topper Pixie Lott, comedian Rob Beckett, and actress Taj Atwell. Despite the star-studded line-up, the show was reportedly cancelled after just one season.
A source claimed to The Sun: "Chris was a breath of a fresh air, but ultimately there are no plans for his show to return." They also noted that the decision comes as part of a broader shift at ITV.

The said: "ITV appears to be moving away from studio-based chat shows in their weekend schedule. In the last number of years they've invested heavily in their daytime programmes and have given new faces an opportunity to shine."
When it launched, ITV promised the show would be "packed with humour". An ITV spokesperson said: "Chris will immerse his guests in his audio world with interactive games that will have viewers of all ages laughing and playing along at home.
"And to top it all off, he'll have live acoustic performances that will be the soundtrack of your weekend.
"This 11-episode series will feature a brilliant line-up of celebrity guests and will be packed with humour, insights and inevitable shenanigans."

Despite the Strictly winner's show allegedly not being renewed for a new series, the 11 episodes that already exist are still available to watch on ITVX.
Chris is still keeping very busy with other work away from ITV. He previously announced that he is working on a book, and this May he is set to take to the stage for his show Yonks!
He will perform across the UK, in locations such as Chester, St Albans, Warrington, and Dudley.
After winning Strictly he has also stayed in contact with his professional dance partner, Dianne Buswell, and the two record the Winning Isn't Everything Podcast together.
