Jа'Mаrr Cһаѕe wіll be teаmmаteѕ once more wіtһ а fаmіlіаr fаce durіng NFL Pro Bowl Skіllѕ Sһow

The NFL Pro Bowl Skills Show takes place Thursday night to kickoff the Pro Bowl Games. The Cincinnati Bengals' three Pro Bowlers, Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Trey Hendrickson, will all be competing in three of the five events.

And a special reunion will be happening along with it.

Chase will compete in Satisfying Catches, a new event for this year's games. He'll be paired with two other players in a test of their catching abilities.

One of his partners will be Houston Texans cornerback Derek Stingley Jr., who very notably was on the same 2019 LSU National Championship team as Chase and Burrow.

Stingley was a true freshman starter for that powerhouse roster, and Chase was only a year ahead of him. The two battled all throughout the year in practice, giving credence to the biblical phrase "Iron sharpens iron." Chase was the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Stingley went third overall a year later.

The two have only met once on the field since they both made it to the league. Stingley's Texans defeated Chase's Bengals in a 30-27 thriller in Week 10 of the 2023 season.

Former LSU Tiger Ja'Marr Chase shines in NFL debut

"I love him to death but we just gonna talk to each other," Chase said before the game about going up against Stingley. Chase ended up with 124 yards and a touchdown on five receptions, but was never targeted with Stingley covering him.

Rounding out Chase and Stingley's team will be Las Vegas Raiders rookie sensation Brock Bowers, another SEC alum who dominated in his college career and immediately did the same at the next level.

Chase will also play in the flag football game on Sunday with Burrow, who will first compete in the Passing The Test with Stingley's teammate, Nico Collins, as his partner. Hendrickson will take part in the two-round Dodgeball tournament.
