Vanderpump Rules fans will remember the early days of James Kennedy. His stint on the show began when he was only 22 and dating Kristen Doute.
The aspiring DJ would overdo it on Fireball and Pumptinis, and eventually, his drinking got him fired from SUR (more than once). Although he tried to get it under control numerous times, James finally got sober about two years ago.
Apparently though, his sobriety journey has come to an end, which is very concerning for many fans.
A source spoke with In Touch and claimed that they witnessed James Kennedy back to his old ways.
“He was super drunk,” they said about the SUR DJ who was hosting a party at Harrah’s in Atlantic City, New Jersey. James was also with the Toms, Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval. “[Kennedy] ran in and out of the venue multiple times when he didn’t get his way—management had to reel him in. He was drinking, and did not care about how he acted.”
The source added, “At one point he was calling for security, because he was upset there wasn’t enough security around him, and at another point he was screaming for a water.”
They claimed he had a bottle of Tito’s and a bottle of champagne at the DJ booth and saw people handing drinks to him.
Everyone seemed to be very supportive of James at the show, though. “They were cheering for him! He did put on a great energetic show,” the source said.
According to James’s representatives, he was running around and was frustrated because his DJ equipment was not set up properly.
James recently went to Coachella with his girlfriend Ally Lewber and the couple was packing on the PDA!
The Vanderpump Rules star seems head over heels for the entertainment journalist, though it has only been a few months since Raquel Leviss called off their engagement while filming the Season 9 reunion.
His representative confirmed the relationship in March.
“James met Ally recently and they have been dating for a few months now,” they told Us Weekly, adding, “He’s super happy and excited to see what the future holds.”
Before that official announcement, James revealed details about the new romance to one of his cast mates.
“I’m kind of seeing someone,” the 30-year-old spilled to Lala Kent on a February episode of her podcast.
When asked if Ally would appear on the Bravo show, the DJ responded, “Look, it’s too early to say honestly.”
“I do like this girl, I really do. I don’t know,” he continued. “We’ll see what happens. I can’t ask any girl to do that.”
Page Six reported that James also talked about where they met: at a performance of Tom Sandoval’s band, The Most Extras.
“She was with her friends that were fans,” he detailed.
James went on to say that she was “not big” on Instagram: her private account has only 2,200 followers.
On Ally’s LinkedIn, she shared her “passion for movies, pop culture, entertainment news, and human-interest stories.”
Coachella was not their first trip together. In March, they visited Tulum.
“Only the most magical trip I’ve ever experienced in my entire life,” James wrote in his Instagram caption. “Here’s a little slide show of todays adventure…. Share the love people! and the positivity! cause life’s too short.”
Earlier this month, he posted pictures of their trip to Jamaica.
Hopefully, we will find out more on the next season of Vanderpump Rules!
