The latest season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey may not be the darkest installment yet. However, there have been a lot of negative things that have happened throughout the season. Now, friend of the show Jackie Goldschneider is opening up about how the show has changed and exactly who is to blame for what some think could be the fall of a legendary franchise.
Fans will recall that a couple of negative things have happened to RHONJ. Recently, Jennifer Aydin and Danielle Cabral got into a physical altercation, and the finale features a blowup that was so bad that the powers that be decided there was no logical reason to have a traditional reunion. This has led to reports of a significant cast shakeup for New Jersey.
Recently, Jackie spoke to OK! Magazine about what she thinks of where the show stands today and if it can be fixed. Starting off, she says, “I think that social media and the way we talk about each other and everything surrounding this show has gotten so toxic. Aside from the show itself — the way we’re talking about each other has gotten so dark and so toxic, and I can’t complain about that if I’m contributing to it.”
Jackie then shares what part she plans to play in making the show less toxic.
“I have committed that I am not saying a bad word about any of my castmates anymore, and I think that… moving forward with respect for everybody is how I would like to proceed. I think that, basically, it’s all gone too far and that we’re just really every day destroying the show more and more by tearing each other apart in the press. So, I’m not going to do that anymore.”
Jackie goes on to discuss the cancellation of the traditional reunion for RHONJ.
According to Jackie, “I think that was the right move. I think it would just have been everybody yelling at everybody. I think there’s no way that right now, Margaret Josephs and Teresa Giudice are making up. I don’t think anybody’s making up right now. It would just have been all of us sitting there yelling at each other.”
