Plus, Brittany Cartwright shares what she hopes happens to the missing ring on The Valley After Show.
Jax Taylor popped the question to Brittany Cartwright during Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules in a romantic gesture that included a 3.14-carat cushion cut white diamond stunner. But now that the pair is getting divorced, where is the ring today? That depends who you ask.
“My wedding ring and my wedding bands are missing,” Brittany alleged on Season 2, Episode 8 of The Valley. “They’re not in the safe. They’re nowhere in the house. Nothing. Don’t know where they are.”
Jax had a much different answer on the subsequent episode of The Valley After Show, though. “I have it," he revealed. "It's in my safe."
But in her own interview on the After Show, Brittany remained skeptical. As she put it, "I’ve not seen it. I don’t know where it is. He says it’s in a safe. I don’t know though.”
Jax said on The Valley After Show that the ring will be placed in "a trust" for their son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, and that he and Brittany agreed on the plan.
He also explained that Kyle Chan — the favorite jewelry designer of the Vanderpump Rules crew — shared his take on what to do with the ring.
“I said to Kyle, ‘How do I go about this?’ because Kyle’s the one that sold me the ring, designed the ring. And I kind of wanted to go back to him somehow and [have] him figure all this out,” Jax said on the After Show. “And he said, ‘Well, Jax, the diamond market’s not like it used to be. So, I suggest holding onto it right now for as long as you can.’”
Brittany, however, wants the ring in her possession.
As Brittany explained, “I told [Jax] that I wanted to keep it so that I could either put the money in an account for Cruz or if Cruz wants to get married one day, he could use the ring. Like, that’s what I wanted it for. It’s not like I was going to like wear it, or sell it, or anything.”
"What are the chances he's sold it?" a producer asked, to which Brittany replied, "Very high chances that he's sold it."
Jax, for his part, denied this.
