Jelly Roll Gets Emotional in Clear Message to Fans originally appeared on Parade.
An emotional Jelly Roll took to social media on June 25 with a clear message to fans, "Dream BIGGER BABYYYY."
The country music star got reflective ahead of his show in Ohio, sharing a bit about how far he's come over the course of his wildly successful career.
"Woo, baby. We gonna try to do this without crying," Jelly Roll, 40, said in a candid video. "I know y'all are tired of me crying on the internet, man, but God's glory is so good. I am in Columbus, Ohio, y'all. First time I played Columbus, Ohio, I played a bar attached to a Days Inn in Grove City called the Wet Bar."
Standing in Ohio Stadium, nicknamed The Horseshoe, Jelly Roll said he'd never dreamed that he'd play at that particular venue.
"God Bless y'all. Thank y'all for this. This is more than I ever could have imagined. I say it all the time... I know a lot of artists are like 'I'm living my dream.' I'm like, 'y'all were cocky' cuz I never had the braveness or was never bold enough to dream of this," he continued.
"So, anybody out there right now that thinks you can't do something. Dream bigger baby," he said.
Hundreds of fans flocked to the comments section of the post to react to Jelly Roll's message.
"You are a phenomenal artist. Keep giving God the glory," one person wrote.
"God is always good! Never apologize for your emotions, especially when they show your gratitude and appreciation to what God has done in your life! I am new to listening to you because of a local event you did with a elementary school class! It really was special. Keep doing beautiful work and never be ashamed of where you are or where you came from. Congratulations," someone else said.
"I’m so happy for you. Keep your eyes on God, He’s got you. You are such a witness to what God can do to the broken," a third comment read.
Jelly Roll co-headlined his show at "The Shoe" with Kane Brown.
