Jenelle Evans says she wants to help the moms of America get HIGH! HIGH!
The fired Teen Mom star told E! News that, despite her being “very busy,” she still plans to start a cannabis line— something she first mentioned during an episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter last year.
“I’m looking to start a cannabis line still,” she told the outlet. “I know a lot of my fans are asking about that. It’s still happening. I’ve been very busy and I’m just trying to get everything set up and organized. But I’m hoping sometime this fall.”
“It’s no secret that I smoke,” Jenelle said. “I mean everybody knows.”
During her time on 16 and Pregnant and ‘Teen Mom 2,’ Jenelle— and whatever degenerate was her soulmate at the time— frequently discussed smoking pot on-camera, even infamously blazing up on her mom Barbara Evans‘ porch one day with her then-booooooyfriend Kieffer Delp during an early episode of the show.
Now, Jenelle says she hopes to make it more acceptable for mothers to get HIGH! HIGH!
Or something.
While Jenelle is not known for bringing her many business projects to fruition (Little Kaiser, anyone?), or actually running a successful business (cough, JE Cosmetics, cough), Jenelle says she’s determined to make this idea happen.
“I think it’s very important for me to normalize it for other mothers, because a lot of people are looked down upon because they smoke,” she said. “And I feel like it’s like a glass of wine at the end of the night.”
She also stated that she’s keeping busy in the time it will take to get her cannabis line up and running.
“I’m also working on, instead of in front of the camera, behind the scenes, working on different TV projects that I have lined up,” she claimed. “…I’m moving on to a new chapter in my life and moving on from negative energy,” said Jenelle, “and just trying to be myself, find myself again.”
Jenelle has always been a vocal about her frequent use of cannabis. In fact, back in 2018, she went on The Brand podcast and admitted that she even smoked marijuana while she was pregnant with her third child, Ensley, resulting in the now-seven-year-old testing positive for THC at birth. (The Ashley broke this story in 2017, months before Jenelle admitted to it.)
“I’m not going to lie about that. I tested positive for THC, and Ensley did not test positive. I did,” she said on that podcast. “So [Child Protective Services] were like—I was in the hospital—they said, ‘Did you smoke when you were pregnant?’ I said, ‘I did within the past 30 days. I said I have really bad esophageal spasms and I throw up every 5 minutes, I can’t even eat.’ And they said, ‘OK, some moms do that. We are not here to judge, we are writing down your information.’ After I had Ensley, they said CPS will just come by to do a [wellness] check since you tested positive. They came and did a checkup, and everything is fine. They closed the case.”
This is, of course, not the first time Jenelle has claimed she is starting a cannabis line. While she was still appearing on ‘Next Chapter’ last year, Jenelle was shown sitting down with a potential business partner named Adriana. Joining Jenelle on this foray into the pot-slingin’ biz was her manager-turned soulmate-turned-nemesis “August Keen.” (The couple split in January.)
“I think my history is going to have a lot to do with this brand,” she said on the show. “And then I was thinking, like, moms are shamed for smoking. What I’m lookin’ for is to, at first, come out with maybe a pre-roll pack and maybe just expand from there. I think it’s really great if I have someone who works together with me because I have so many ideas.”
Despite her big plans, Jenelle never got the business off the ground.
Jenelle claims that life in Las Vegas is going swimmingly for her.
“I’m moving on to a new chapter in my life and moving on from negative energy,” she told E! News during her new interview. “And just trying to be myself, find myself again.”
