Jenelle Evans Says Her Son Jace “Learned His Lesson” After She Sent Him to Live with His Dad Andrew Lewis in May: “It Was a Fiasco!”

“We all know you weren’t thrilled when your plan to pawn me off on Ol’ Andy failed, Ma!”

Jenelle Evans continues to defend her decision to send her teenage son Jace to Florida in May to live with his father, Andrew Lewis, despite the arrangement quickly going south and Jace ultimately returning to Las Vegas to live with Jenelle.

The Ashley broke the news in early June that 15-year-old Jace was no longer living with his dad in Florida, despite Jenelle claiming at the time that the father and son were doing great. As The Ashley told you, Jenelle sent Jace to Florida by himself and did not check out where her son would be living (or how he would be living) and instead believed Andrew and his family when they assured her that Andrew was sober and capable of taking care of Jace.

The fired Teen Mom star recently fired back at a comment on Facebook from someone criticizing her for sending her son across the country to live with his father, claiming that neither Jenelle nor Jace “know Andrew.” In response, Jenelle insisted that she actually knows Andrew very well and simply wanted Jace to see the type of person his father actually is.

“Gee thanks, mom…”

“ … I do know my ex, I know him very well and in fact, I wanted Jace to learn the type of person he was,” Jenelle claimed. “And Jace was very like, ‘Mom, can I please go live with my dad, let me go live with my dad,’ and I was like, ‘You don’t know the type of person he is,’ and [Jace] is like, ‘Just let me go find out myself.’

“ … so he went and guess what? He found out the type of person [Andrew] was,” she continued.

“Hey Jace, it could have been worse for you. At least your dad didn’t lock up his meat freezer when you got to his house!”

(The Ashley’s sources told a very different story regarding how Jace ended up with Andrew, though. One source told The Ashley in June that, “Jace didn’t choose to go live with Andrew. It was decided for him [by Jenelle].”)

Anyway, in her recent Facebook video post, Jenelle continued to insist that it was Jace who wanted to go live with his long-lost father, who was absent for most of Jace’s life. Although she admitted that she never went to Florida to check out the situation before sending her son there, she did claim that she “checked in” with Andrew’s family first, who told her Andrew was “doing great,” was no longer drinking alcohol and had a job and a fiancée.

“Well, once Jace got there, [he found out that Andrew’s] fiancée broke up with him and I don’t know what happened from there,” she said. “I mean, I just know from what Jace told me. I’m not gonna share too much, but it was a fiasco and Jace didn’t want to admit it to me but he finally did and he’s happier being at home. And he learned his lesson. That’s all I can say.”

“Chalk that up to another parenting win for me, dude!”

In an interview with Us Weekly last month, Jenelle made similar claims that Jace “really needed to see” what kind of person his father was, despite both she and her mom, Barbara Evans, allegedly warning him.

“I can tell ya this, kid: if he dated Juh-nelle, he’s a losa!”

“The time had to come where he met his dad and he did it, and he sees the true colors that I’ve been saying for years, but Jace didn’t want to believe me and my mom,” she said.
