Jesse Palmer Announces The Golden Bachelorette Host Amid Rumors A Bachelor Alum Is Replacing Him

Amid rumors that a Bachelor alum will be the new host of The Golden Bachelorette, Jesse Palmer set the record straight in his latest Instagram post. Jesse has been hosting Bachelor Nation shows for several seasons now, after Chris Harrison left the franchise in 2021 following a racism scandal involving Rachael Kirkconnell. Before Jesse became the permanent host, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe co-hosted The Bachelorette for two seasons. Lately, there has been speculation that Kaitlyn would be replacing Jesse as the host of The Golden Bachelorette, which is currently filming and will air in fall 2024.

Bachelor franchise host Jesse Palmer ended speculation over who is hosting The Golden Bachelorette by sharing a photo of himself with Joan Vassos.

Jesse took to Instagram to put the rumors to rest, as he shared a photo of himself posing with The Golden Bachelorette lead Joan Vassos outside the Bachelor Mansion. He added the caption, "It’s been a busy summer," with a rose emoji and hashtags for The Golden Bachelorette and Bachelor Nation. Jesse also tagged multiple Bachelor franchise Instagram accounts on the photo, along with Joan.

In the comments section, Travelling_couple69 thanked Jesse for "dispelling the rumors" about the hosting role, a comment that he liked. The Bachelor host replied to other Instagram users who left comments, including from someone who joked that they would riot if The Bachelor season 28 winner Kelsey Anderson's dad Mark isn't a Golden Bachelorette contestant, with Jesse leaving cry-laughing face emojis. The Bachelor Nation Instagram account said that fans aren't ready for The Golden Bachelorette, which prompted Jesse to reply, "No. They. Are. Not."

Should Kaitlyn Bristowe Host The Golden Bachelorette Instead Of Jesse?

Jesse Palmer Provides Consistency In Bachelor Nation

Is 'The Bachelorette' Star Kaitlyn Bristowe Hosting 'The Golden Bachelorette'? Here's What We Know | Decider

Jesse has become a fan-favorite in Bachelor Nation, first as a lead during The Bachelor season 5 and then as the host (and providing consistency following the scandal) after Tayshia and Kaitlyn stepped in temporarily for two seasons of The Bachelorette following Chris' exit. It was great to see Tayshia and Kaitlyn co-hosting together on a Bachelor spin-off that stars a woman in the lead role. Both know what it's like to be a contestant and a lead, whereas Jesse only had experience as a lead before hosting.

Rumors that Kaitlyn might be The Golden Bachelorette season 1 host began when she posted a cryptic update on Instagram about being hired for a role after going in for an audition. She left her message very vague, possibly on purpose. What got the rumor mill spinning was the fact that the photo in that post featured Kaitlyn wearing the same dress she reportedly wore while filming an appearance for The Golden Bachelorette. Putting two and two together, it seemed like the speculation might actually ring true.

However, Kaitlyn is probably just giving advice to Joan or helping out with a particular game or event that the contestants have to take part in. After all, it's not uncommon to see alums appear on other Bachelor Nation shows in a guest capacity. So while Kaitlyn won't be hosting The Golden Bachelorette, she should be considered for the role if ABC decides to shake things up. The two permanent hosts (Chris and Jesse) have been men; there's no reason not to hire Kaitlyn or another woman to lead the franchise at some point in the future.

The Golden Bachelorette premieres September 18 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
