Jessel Taank Teases Brynn Whitfield and Ubah Hassan’s Season-Long RHONY Tension

The Real Housewives of New York started its new season. There was a continuation of certain emotions from the end of Season 14. Ubah Hassan brought some grievances against co-star Brynn Whitfield for outing her private relationship. And according to Jessel Taank, the drama continues for most of Season 15.

In a mark of slick editing for the season premiere, Brynn and Ubah were shown in conflict during a cast trip. The professional model brought tension to a cast photo shoot teased during the season premiere. That event took place five days after filming for the season ended.

The “strong personalities” will be in conflict all season

Jessel exclusively spoke to Us Weekly about what she hopes audiences will take away from the new season. Of course, cast fights are part of the discussion as well.

“We obviously have some expectations,” the public relations professional said. “With one season under the belt, you understand what this world is about. Ultimately, for us, we just really wanted to continue being fun and being entertaining. I think that’s what it should be and it should be lighthearted, and I hope that comes across for this new season.”

The stage is set. And Jessel confirmed that the two “strong personalities” will not resolve their issues quickly.

“When they’re good, they’re great,” she explained. “When they’re not, they’re not. You guys will watch it play out as the season goes on. I think what happened in the last season finale — where Brynn sort of outs Ubah’s love interest — I think that really put a lot of doubt and it did cast a lot of, I think, tension in their friendship from that moment on.”

Jessel has had more luck repairing her bond with Sai De Silva. The premiere showed them in comfortable friendship now.

“I feel like I grew closer to Sai,” she shared. “Obviously, that was a shocking one because of how we left things last season, but we definitely, you sort of see our relationship kind of flourish and it’s definitely in a better place.”
