Jessica Sanchez Shares 1st Pregnancy Photos After Receiving Golden Buzzer on ‘AGT’

Jessica Sanchez was relieved on July 15, 2025, when fans of “America’s Got Talent” finally learned the secret she’s been keeping for months. The powerhouse singer, who was runner-up on season 11 of “American Idol” and first competed on the first season of “AGT” as a child, returned to the NBC talent show and received a Golden Buzzer during her audition.

But the next morning, on July 16, Sanchez, now 29, posted for the first time about the other secret she’d been hiding for months — that she’s expecting her first baby. She shared the happy news of her pregnancy — and her marriage to Ricky Gallardo — with the judges during her audition, but had not yet posted anything about it with 300,000 Instagram followers.

Captioning a photo of a sonogram and several pics of her and Gallardo, Sanchez wrote, “Our hearts are so full … This is my first time sharing about the pregnancy, and it’s been so hard keeping it quiet these past 5 months! Thank you all for the love, support, and sweet messages — it truly means the world. Most of all, thank You God for this beautiful blessing growing inside me ❤️”

Fans & Friends Flood Jessica Sanchez With Notes of Celebration

Fans and friends were already thrilled for Sanchez the night before, after her audition aired on “AGT.” But they returned to flood her new post with comments the next morning, celebrating her good news about becoming a mom.

Season 10 “American Idol” finalist Pia Toscano wrote, “My heart is busting for you Jessica ❤️ I’ll be here rooting for you.”

Among the fans who swarmed her post, one wrote, “😍😍😍 I’m so happy and excited for you and this season of your life. God is so good! Your time is NOW. ✨🌟”

Another commented, “congrats jessica!! hearing the news made me so emotional, i’m so happy for you ♥️♥️”

Sanchez’s husband also commented, “Watching you carry our child while still pouring your heart into every performance has left me in awe. You’re not just strong… you’re sacred. I’ve never been more proud, more moved, or more grateful to walk through life with you. This season we’re in… it’s the most beautiful one yet. I love you”

Before singing for the judges, she told them how she had fallen out of love with singing for a while, trying to chase what she thought the industry wanted her to do and sound like, until she re-discovered her passion and her own “lane.”

Noting how much different her life is, she said, “I found my lane, and I’m married now, and I’m actually — another surprising thing is I recently found out that I’m pregnant.”

“This is the best thing that can ever happen in your life ever, ever, ever, ever,” judge Simon Cowell told Sanchez.

After receiving the Golden Buzzer from Mel B, who said she had the “voice of a bloody angel,” Sanchez will automatically move on to the live rounds, which air in August.
