Jetѕ Stаr Wіdeout Suddenly Avаіlаble for Steelerѕ

The Pittsburgh Steelers will be addressing several roster holes this offseason, including quarterback and wideout.

While plenty of opportunities will present themselves during free agency and next month's NFL Draft, on specific opportunity to land a top wideout may have arisen.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the New York Jets will release wideout Davante Adams if no trade can be facilitated. New York is currently taking calls from other teams about a possible trade package.

"Sources: The #Jets are now taking calls on star WR Davante Adams, open to trading him prior to the start of the league year. No surprise with his $38.2M cap number. If they can’t get a deal, they are expected to release Adams, who could rejoin QB Aaron Rodgers with a new team," Rapoport reported on X.

Last season, Adams caught 85 balls for 1,065 yards while spending time with the Raiders and then being reunited with former Packers teammate and quarterback Aaron Rodgers in New York.

Pittsburgh is desperate to add another starter alongside George Pickens as they continue to develop the offense for more Calvin Austin and Roman Wilson into the scheme for Arthur Smith.

And whoever plays quarterback could benefit from a seasoned veteran like Adams in the room.
