Jets' Breece Hall Makes Feelings About Steelers' 'Misunderstood' Aaron Rodgers Perfectly Clear
To some degree, it is difficult to feel sorry for current Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers when he complaints that he finds the attention assigned to him by fans and media as "entitled and .....
And to an additional degree, it's hard to feel he is "misunderstood'' when as a member of the New York Jets he endorsed the idea of a Netflix documentary about him being named "Enigma.''
Yes, we were told that Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson and maybe some other young New Yorkers clashed with their "team leader'' Rodgers as the Jets struggled through a 5-12 season in 2024.
But Breece Hall would like to offer another angle.
Rogers, Hall said, is a "very misunderstood person.''
During an appearance on the "Get Got Pod with Marshawn Lynch & Mike Robinson" program, Jets running back Hall, 24, delved into his personal and working relationship with Rodgers, 41, an arrangement that started in the spring of 2023 and ended this January when the Jets new regime unceremoniously dumped him into free agency.
What all did Hall say about Rodgers?
"Great dude. Comes off to people a certain way, but once you really get to know him, you realize how good of a person he is.''
To our knowledge, Rodgers - who signed a one-year, $13.65 million here to finish his career in Pittsburgh - hasn't experienced any interpersonal battles in the locker room. He's already developed a friendship with fellow newcomer veteran receiver D.K. Metcalf, and everyone from head coach Mike Tomlin on down has praised the aging four-time NFL MVP.
Hall says part of the problem in New York was about the blame game.
Last year, when you're losing games, the blame gets put on the faces of the team,'' said Hall, who also includes himself in that club. "When you're losing, somebody has to get let go, but what people don't realize is, when stuff is crazy organizationally, then it's hard for players to have stability and win games. ...
"I love Aaron. Me and him still have a great relationship to this day. That's my guy."
