Jets Fan Mike Greenberg Emotional About Aaron Rodgers

The New York Jets and Aaron Rodgers are parting ways after two horror seasons that saw nothing but failure for the franchise.

Some fans are in a positive mood that Rodgers is being moved on, but not everybody is fine with it.

Famous Jets fan, and the host of ESPN's GetUp, Mike Greenberg, is one of those, and in the latest episode of the breakfast show, Greenberg and his colleagues officially made changes to the set, with a Rodgers jersey that was hanging on the wall, having a black curtain placed over it.

"The bottom line of it is, I'm not ready to process the end of this era yet," Greenberg said. "We went into this with the highest of hopes and expectations, and I'm not ready to move on."

Greenberg isn't ready for the Rodgers experiment to end, but we imagine a lot of Jets fans are, even if it now means that the franchise will go through an uncertain period at quarterback.

Rodgers' two seasons didn't give the Jets many positive moments, and yes, Aaron's first year ended four snaps in with an Achilles injury, but Year 2 wasn't good.

Yes, he was coming back from a tough injury, but the expectations remained the same, and it became evident early on that New York wasn't going to be the playoff-contending team many had hoped for.

Greenberg was holding out hope that the Jets and Rodgers would give it one more crack in 2025, but now he is moving on, even if he's not completely ready to.
