Jets Glowing Scouting Report on 'Workaholic' Justin Fields Will Stun Critics

The 2025 season is a defining one for New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields, and he's approaching it as such.

After being rather inconsistent in his first few years in the league, Justin comes to The Big Apple looking to ignite his career, and he's at the center of new head coach Aaron Glenn's rebuild.

He also has a new coordinator in Tanner Engstrand, so there are a lot of moving parts for Fields as he looks to hit the ground running this offseason.

And for Engstrand, watching Fields work has been a sight to behold.

"I would say that this guy is just a workaholic," Engstrand said. "He comes in early, he's here late, and he's trying to digest everything and download all the information and do things the right way. He's trying to do things that we're asking, and I think he's just really put the next foot forward every day, just trying to stack days, and it's been really good."

To the critics of Fields - and they are many - that is stunning stuff.

But ...

For now, work ethic is all the coaching staff can ask for, and Fields is turning over every stone in his latest stop to make sure he gets everything out of himself in the early portion of the offseason.

Yes, it's OTAs and minicamp, so sometimes we can take everything with a grain of salt. Training camp is set to be where we will see how far Justin has progressed in the system. However, right now, he's doing all the right things.

Will that equate to success in 2025? That is unknown, but Fields is giving himself the best chance to make something of this upcoming season under Engstrand and a new franchise direction.

And being a "workaholic" seems to be paying off.
