Fans are slamming Jill Zarin for wearing a dress strikingly similar to her daughter Ally Shapiro’s at Ally’s engagement party, as a source claims that the Real Housewives of New York star made it “about herself.”

Ally, 31, who was often featured in the early years of the show, recently got engaged to her boyfriend Jordan Bilfeld in Europe. After the announcement, Jill shared a post about how happy she was for the couple.
However, during her daughter Ally’s engagement party, Jill decided to wear a dress that looked strikingly similar to Ally’s.
The two white dresses had the same floral pattern. The floral was also seemingly the exact same color, and Jill was wearing similar sandals as well. The only difference, it seems, was that Jill’s dress had sleeves.
“It’s always about Jill,” said a source speaking to Life & Style. “Even on the most important day of her daughter’s life, she manages to make it about herself!”
“While the day was supposed to be about Ally and her fiancé, it’s clear Jill’s choice of a white floral dress stole the spotlight in the worst possible way,” the insider added. “Now, everyone’s worried she’ll show up in white at the wedding too!”
Fans then shared their reactions to Jill’s outfit.
“Jill is certainly thirsty so I wouldn’t put it past her,” wrote one user, in the comments of a post from @bravosnarkside on Instagram.
“Would u expect anything less?” asked another.
“I just feel bad for any vendors that do anything for them for the wedding bc [Jill] will complain in a heartbeat [especially] if she’s paying for it,” said a third user.
“She will most likely wear a version of her daughter’s gown at the wedding,” wrote a fourth.
Some fans, however, defended Jill’s choice.
“The dresses look like the same pattern so I doubt her daughter didn’t know she’d be wearing it,” said a viewer.
“They’re both zimmermann dresses – same fabric, same flower pattern, just a different style,” wrote another. “This must have been planned and if it’s fine with the daughter then I see nothing wrong.”
