Ally Shapiro is not at a place to share her side of the story regarding her broken engagement to fiancé Jordan Bilfeld just yet.
“I appreciate all the love, but I’m just not ready to talk about it yet for respect out of him, for his family, his friends,” Shapiro said during a Wednesday, November 13, appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, calling the split “very fresh.”
Shapiro’s mom, The Real Housewives of New York City’s Jill Zarin, added that it had been about 10 days since they separated.
After Lewis asked Shapiro whether she was pressing pause on her relationship with Bilfeld or whether it was “over,” she clarified that the romance had officially ended.
“No, I mean, when it’s that big of a decision, I feel like there is no …” Shapiro said, while Lewis interjected to add, “Going back.”
While remaining tight-lipped about the split on Wednesday, Shapiro teased she would be ready to share details at some point. “But I think when I’m ready to talk about it, I’ll talk about it, you know,” she said.
While Lewis and Shapiro appeared to drop the conversation, a caller proceeded to ask for more details about the separation — and whether it was amicable.
“I think there was a lot of love there,” Shapiro said. “It was a three-year relationship, and it was my first serious relationship and, you know, I’m sure I’ll see him again and I wish him nothing but the best.”
Shapiro confirmed that she and Bilfeld “haven’t spoken since,” while Zarin’s boyfriend, Gary Brody, claimed that “no one did anything wrong.” Brody added, “Jordan is a great guy.”
Fans began speculating that there was trouble in paradise with Shapiro and Bilfeld when she began posting TikToks hinting at a split. Zarin, 60, confirmed that Shapiro and Bilfeld had called off their engagement in an October 31 statement to Page Six.
“After much reflection, [they have] made the difficult decision to end their engagement,” the statement read. “And as a family, we are focused on supporting [Ally] through this time. We appreciate your understanding and request privacy on this personal matter.”
Shapiro previously revealed in August that Bilfeld had popped the question while they were traveling in Europe together.
“5 min before i was getting proposed to and it was pouring rain and i was drinking my spritz 😂😂😂 completely clueless 😂😂😂😂😂,” she captioned a series of images via Instagram.
