Joe Giudice Breaks Silence On Prison Sentence And Teresa's Unexpected Jail Time

Giudice Joe was once again setting the record straight. The former Real Housewives of New Jersey star went on Instagram to further expound on some of his points from the YouTube clip in which he shared his side of the story on being indicted in 2014 and everything after the legal drama. One comment appeared within moments.

In the clip, Giudice talked about how federal charges work in cases like his. “When they come after you, they have a charge that they throw at you… And it’s the same charge,” he explained. “Like, lets just say I got indicted 39 counts. Those 39 counts are all the same charge.” He went on to say that, although there could be many counts, defendants generally will just plead to one. Giudice took full responsibility and served 41 months, while to the shock of many, his former wife Teresa Giudice—who was at first going to be spared prison time–served only one. “The judge decided to sentence my ex as well… which was crazy because that wasn’t part of the plea,” he said. “Nobody does that. She did it.”

Almost immediately, the post sent a big wave of reactions. Some came out supporting Joe, while others… well, let’s just say, they were not buying it. One supporter said, “We love you Joe! You served your time, took accountability, and paid restitution.” There was a second comment to hit back, “She was not innocent. She lied to obtain fraudulent loans.” Ouch.

Next followed conspiracy theories. A commenter accused Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga of having something to do with her legal troubles: “Knowing now that they or at least her brother was possibly involved in Teresa ending up in prison is beyond disgusting.” Then, another user countered aggressively: “Teresa has accused everyone… The only one sent Teresa to jail was Teresa and her husband!” Drama in a Giudice post? Shocking.

Third and wildest take: A call for a presidential pardon. “I would love to see Trump pardon him so he can come back to the States,” one hopeful fan vowed. Another crushed his hopes: “He cannot be pardoned because he doesn’t live in the United States, nor is he a US citizen.”

Some of the commentary got philosophical: “I’ve never believed that there’s anything remotely close to TRUE honest justice,” one user lamented, labeling the legal system “a money-driven fraudulent nefarious racket”—deep. Meanwhile, some were probably singing RHONJ blues just then: “I miss Joe telling Melania to shut up… classic Bravo.”

In the end, Giudice seems to be going forward, while the online community will not let this go. At least whether you believe his side of the story or not, one thing’s for sure: this guy has kept people talking. And with commentaries like these, the drama is far from over.
