Joe Gorga received a big surprise from his daughter, Antonia Gorga.

On Thursday, February 28, The Real Housewives of New Jersey dad took to Instagram to share an amusing update on the college sophomore student. He posted a screenshot of his and Antonia’s FaceTime call, in which she was seen rocking a baby-pink bob wig with curtain bangs.

Joe was understandably taken aback, as his daughter — whom he shares with RHONJ’s Melissa Gorga — rarely strays from her signature long, brown hair look.
“Look at my face. WTF,” he captioned the screenshot, which showed Antonia’s friend rocking a similar wig. “What is going on[?]”
Joe didn’t provide any more details about his daughter’s bold hair moment, but it was clear his girl was having fun.

Antonia is now in her second year at the University of Delaware, where she’s a member of Alpha Phi sorority. Months before Antonia headed to the Blue Hen State, Joe reportedly dreaded having to say goodbye to his firstborn.
“Joe is panicking. I’m like, good for her. Go, girl, go,” Melissa told People in February 2023. “Joe’s like, ‘All she’s going to do is party and drink and eat and [hang out with] boys.’ I’m like, ‘Joe, there’s actually education in college.’ … [Joe is] this typical, he doesn’t want his daughter to go.”
How does Joe stay connected to Antonia while she's away at college?
Luckily for Joe, he still sees Antonia on a relatively frequent basis. The Jersey daughter typically returns to the Garden State during school breaks and extended weekends, and sees her parents during UD’s family weekend.
But what about the time in between those family reunions? Well, Joe can always hop on a call with Antonia or stay connected by watching previous seasons of RHONJ. He did the latter in October 2024, when he posted photos of an old episode in which a much younger Antonia kissed him on the cheek.
“I miss this,” Joe captioned the sweet moment. “I miss her.”
