The “Dancing with the Stars” champ and former “Bachelor” Joey Graziadei opened up about what he’s learned most about his fiancée, Kelsey Anderson, after their whirlwind year together. In an exclusive interview with People, the season 28 Bachelor lead shared that Kelsey’s personality has only made him more certain in his decision to propose.
“The level of comfort that we have grown over this last year is what I’ve noticed most, both of us being able to be more open with one another,” Graziadei said to People. “Kelsey’s goofy side has grown so much as she’s gotten more comfortable with me, and it’s one of a kind. It’s something that makes her so unique and makes me even more sure that I picked the right person”.
Joey and Kelsey’s engagement was filmed in November 2023 and aired during “The Bachelor” season finale on March 25, 2024. The couple first met on the dating reality show, and after the proposal aired, they quickly became fan favorites.
Joey and Kelsey’s Next Chapter
While they originally planned to move to New York City after the show, Joey and Kelsey decided to stay in Los Angeles to continue building their relationship. The pair reportedly moved into a two-bedroom apartment and have since embraced West Coast living together.
Recently, the couple was spotted enjoying themselves at the 2025 Coachella music festival, attending events with Patrón El Alto. Their appearance marked one of their first major outings together since moving in, showing fans how the pair are blending post-reality TV life with new experiences.
In addition to his Bachelor fame, Graziadei also competed on season 33 of “Dancing with the Stars” alongside pro dancer Jenna Johnson. The duo ended up winning the coveted mirrorball trophy, making Joey one of the few Bachelor alums to find success both in love and on the dance floor.
Taking Their Time With Wedding Plans
Since getting engaged in late 2023, Graziadei and Anderson have been intentional about taking their time with wedding plans. In a January 2025 interview with People, Anderson shared an update on their timeline.
“We’re not getting married this year, possibly next year or the following, because we got engaged so fast, we got engaged in two months. So we want to really take our time still getting to know each other and be really serious about the wedding, and we don’t want it to be a stressful thing. We want to be able to enjoy the process of picking out the things that matter most to us in our wedding”
