Jordan Love Receives Praise From Players Across the League

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was placed No. 68 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2025 list, a dip in his ranking ahead of the 2024 season where he sat at No. 34 due to battling injury.

Regardless of where the 26-year-old quarterback is ranked, though, he was recognized among teammates and players throughout the league, especially for his accuracy.

"It was late in the game in Seattle [and] he hit Romeo Doubs right across the middle like a teardrop," Packers defensive tackle Rashan Gary recalled. "Looking at the Jumbotron, I'm like, 'He caught that?' And then as I'm looking at the catch, I'm actually looking at the throw. I'm like 'Man, that's a ball.'"

From the 22-yard line in Week 15 against the Seahawks, Love got the ball out just before a defender reached him. The throw dropped right at the back of the end zone into Doubs' hands with just under five minutes left of the fourth quarter. With the extra point, the Packers secured a 30-13 win over Seattle.

"It just throws me off just how comfortable he is and just how the ball comes off his hand. Easy, man," Gary said. "I don't even know if he really got his eyes open or even thinking about it."

"[Love's] ability to throw the ball, he's able to get it out quick," Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. said. "He has a good understanding of the game, so he's able to digest what's coming at him. If it's a blitz, he knows where his hot reads are. And he's just a very smart quarterback."

Another Viking, defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, added, saying Love "kind of has everything" from deep shots to immediate routes.

"Really good deep ball, and also he's able to turn up in a game," Indiana Colts safety Camryn Bynum said. "Really being able to drop that ball in in the receiver's hands in stride."

In Week 7, Love threw for three touchdowns against the Houston Texans. To finish a 92-yard scoring drive, the quarterback threw a 14-yard pass to tight end Tucker Kraft who made a diving catch. Love got the ball out of his hands quickly to beat safety Calen Bullock coming through to intercept it.

"He has a lot of those plays where he [has] a great arm, great accuracy. He puts the ball on the money every time. I think it was Houston [with the] tight, tight, tight spiral that he threw to [Kraft]," Green Bay safety Xavier McKinney thought back to. "He threaded the needle and went straight through."

"I just respect how he goes about playing the quarterback position and going through reads and willing his team to win, man," San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy said. "Respect him a lot."

Green Bay's season opens at home against the Detroit Lions. Kick off at Lambeau Field is slated for 4:25 p.m. on Sept. 7.
