Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen certainly has had a year to remember.
After leading the Bills to a 13-4 regular season, Allen saw his season fall short once again, losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Yet, just days before Super Bowl LIX began, Allen won his first NFL MVP award.
But it wasn't only what happened on the football field that was memorable for Allen. During the Bills' bye week in November, Allen and his girlfriend of two years, actress Hailee Steinfeld, announced their engagement with a joint post on Instagram.
"♾️ 11•22•24 ♾️," the couple captioned their post.
Steinfeld was in attendance during the 14th Annual NFL Honors in New Orleans, Louisiana. When accepting his new award, Allen made sure to shout out the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" star before getting off the stage.
After receiving the award, Allen made a video to give a shout to his family and admit he missed some people in his acceptance speech. In the clip released by the NFL on X on Tuesday, Allen also went on to make an honest admission about his fiancee.
"Obviously, having my fiancee here has been unbelievable," Allen said. "She's been really the constant in my life the last two years. I think I said in my speech to her, the only reason I was on that stage is because of her and the support and love that she gives me."
In his lone MVP season, Allen may have put up his best statistical season yet. The former Wyoming Cowboys star completed 307-of-483 passes for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and six interceptions while adding another 531 yards and 12 scores on the ground.
Barring a major injury, Allen and the Bills should find themselves right back in Super Bowl contention in 2025.
