The Avalanche lost Josh Manson to an upper-body injury on Friday. The defenseman left the game in the second period against the Dallas Stars after crashing into the boards and did not return.
Manson dropped his glove instantly and appeared to be favoring his arm, wrist, or hand area as he skated off. Colorado trailed 4-1 after the second period. It’s their first and only trip to Dallas in 2024-25.
Manson has dressed in all 24 games this season, scoring a goal and adding five assists. He is also -10, which is the second-worst on the team.
The Avs have dealt with injuries all season albeit mostly to their forward group. They’re currently without Gabriel Landeskog, Jonathan Drouin, Ross Colton, and Miles Wood.
