Ask, and you shall receive, New York Jets fans.

Walking into the 2025 offseason, it’s not hard to see why fans and analysts believed the organization needed to address the depth of their wide receiver room. With Davante Adams and Allen Lazard almost on the way, the Jets needed extra help at receiver.

Former Detroit Lions role player Josh Reynolds should fill that role well.

And he appears thrilled to be in New York.

Josh Reynolds Speaks Out to Jets Fans

Speaking on the team’s social media following officially signing a one-year deal with New York valued at just under $3 million guaranteed, the former fourth-round pick out of Texas A&M wanted to send a message to the fanbase – one that has resonated well with those that have had to suffer through the last 14 years.

“What’s up Jets fans, it’s Josh Reynolds,” Reynolds said in the clip shared on social media. “Looking forward to getting ready to get the work in and turn this thing around.”

New York has missed the playoffs for 14 straight seasons. It’s the longest active playoff drought in North American sports. Making matters worse is the fact that the Jets haven’t even had a winning season in the last eight seasons.

Active players are all aware of the situation in Florham Park. New York is desperate to put forth a winner on the field for a loyal but down-on-their-luck fanbase.

The positive side of that for players is that if they can actually turn the losing around, Jets fans would treat them better than any other fanbase. That kind of loyalty is something that piqued Reynolds as well as every other free agent this year for New York.
